Unified Championship Wrestling: Wrestlemas has come and gone once again, and like always, leveled up from the previous year.
Jacko vs Ram
Kicking things off for the evening, two foes who met earlier in the year at Redemption, Jacko and Ram pushed each other to the limits. Jacko got the pinfall victory, however, Ram would have the final laugh, as a debuting Ravyn Black would make his presence known, attacking Jacko post match and aligning with Ram.
“The Golden Boy” Rocky Ryder vs Top Shelf (Jay Van Dal and Archie Bower)
A 2v1 handicap match, set up by Archie Bower in response to Ryder’s call out, showcased high flying action, an unexpected tempo (from all 3 men) and Archie Bower finally running out of places to hide. Ryder successfully pinned JVD for the win. It appears Archie Bower has replaced JVD in Top Shelf, with a bigger, stronger and scarier body, who left JVD laid out in the ring.
Dynamite Deuce vs Rhys “King Gibbo” Gibson
Stemming from a controversial ending to the Kings Crown Battle Royal at the Royal A&P show in November, both men were ready to prove they deserved to be King. In the biggest shock of the evening, King Gibbo KO’d Deuce with a lariat that Stan Hansen would be proud of.
“Eccentric” Elliot Samuels vs Carnage
A submission match, involving the returning Elliot Samuels, and the man who injured him, Carnage, showcased the technical mastery of Elliot Samuels. However, Carnage showed that brute force can also be used to wear an opponent down. In the end, Elliot Samuels pure technical wrestling wizardry saw him submit the monsterous Carnage. In what seems like the end of SICK, Ram and Ravyn Black came out and speared Carnage into 2026.
K9 vs Blade Lennox
Making his New Zealand debut, Blade Lennox was given a truly kiwi introduction to wrestling on this side of the globe. K9 mixed his well known physicality with his lighter fun-loving side, much to the amusing of a vocal Kaiapoi Club crowd. Blade took advantage of his lizard like ability to drop his leg, to beat down K9 and steal a victory on debut. A memorable debut, and a future to keep an eye on.

Big Gun(c) vs Chalky Murdoch vs Kai Solomon – Unified Heavyweight Championship match
A battle of the biggest and strongest Unified has an offer. The hardest hits, and largest slams of the night, were on show here. After a valiant effort, Chalky Murdoch’s warrior spirit was no match for the Unified Heavyweight Champion, Big Gun, as he was made to pass out from a devastating Full Flex submission, retaining his Unified Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.

C.Q.R.T.(c) (John Henry and Stuey) vs Rested Development (Marc Morales and Jimi Conway) vs OGC (Ray Gunn and Jay Marshal) – Unified Tag Team Championship match
A true mix of styles, this match showcased the championship caliber of C.Q.R.T, the loud and cocky nature of OGC, and the car crash style of Rested Development. All 6 men gave it their all. In the end, a miscommunication from the champions, over the use of a belt as a weapon, lead to John Henry taking a championship winning doublestomp/piledriver combo from Rested Development to give Unified Championship Wrestling brand new Tag Team Champions. Stuey would blame John Henry for the loss, attacking him after the match, needing Matt Attack to pull him off his former tag team partner. C.Q.R.T. not only lost their titles, but each other too.

Kawa Kupa(c) vs Matt Attack – Unified Light Heavyweight Championship match
While helping his stablemate, John Henry, Matt Attack was jumped by the Unified Light Heavyweight champion, Kawa Kupa. Never one to give up or back down, Matt Attack showed the resilience built throughout his first year in the ring. Taking everything Kawa Kupa could give, Matt Attack claimed his biggest win of his career with a heavy swanton bomb off the top rope, becoming the Unified Championship Wrestling Light Heavyweight Championship, one year on from his magical debut at Wrestlemas last year.
Unified Championship Wrestling will be back in 2026, kicking the year off on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, with Southern Stampede. An over the top rope rumble match, with a championship match of the winners choosing. With a prize this big, you know the match will be even bigger.
